Homemade Candied Pecans
Delicious Pecans with a sweet candy coating with a hint of orange.

  1. In a non-stick skillet, heat pan for one minute on medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar, sour cream and vanilla and stir well. Cook on medium heat for five minutes and mixture starts to boil well.
  3. Remove from heat. Add pecans and stir well until pecans are covered well with mixture.
  4. Stir in orange zest and cover with lid. Set timer on 10 minutes.
  5. On granite or counter top, spread out 2 feet of wax paper. Using a spatula, empty pecans onto wax paper. Using a fork, spread out the pecans and separate. Allow to cool completely and dry. I will typically make this dish and leave on the counter for a several hours to ensure coating stays on pecans.
