I was also unfamiliar with most artists. Everyone is talented. This festival has a wide variety of music. Tell me your favorite type of music and I can make some suggestions. I love discovering a new band, singer songwriters during the fest. Here are a few of my favs: Marc Broussard, Chris Stills (Steven’s son) GuruFish, Aaron Lee Tasjan, The Tall Pines, Adam Hood, Boukou Groove, Dan Navarro, David Ryan Harris,Eliot Bronson, The Sundogs, Paul Thorn, Shawn Mullins, Steve Poltz & Carsie Blanton. Aaron Lee Tasjan is worthy of adding to your list to witness a performance that provides a show and blazing guitar skills.

Buy your tickets early because they sold out last year months before event.

Hello. I love this festival. Seaside is my first choice and Grayton following. (7miles away) I also enjoy the smaller venues. I would check to see which offers the best hotels/house rentals and decide. AJ’s at Grayton Beach has been one of the venues in the past. It is much larger but it has held the Tom Petty Tribute for the last two years. The Sun Dogs have hosted this but alot of artists jump in for a song or two. If you like Tom Petty, its a must catch show. Let me know if I may assist further. Have you attended this before? If not, I wrote a couple of posts on Navigating 30a Songwriters to make the most of it. You may want to read for ideas. The first year is was tough trying to figure out the best way to manage 200 artists in 30 plus venues in 3-4 days.

I recognize very few artists but am open to new music. In general, looking for very small, non crowded venues where won’t have to fight crowds. If you were to pick an area to stay that is well located near these more intimate types of venues as opposed to the large stages which area (s) would you choose from to pick accommodations. A friend of mine recommended Grayton Beach.

The cakes shown were created for my sister’s wedding Ga Peach. A very sweet friend made the cakes for her wedding. She did a fabulous job. Now that I think about it, I believe that she also made my wedding cake when I married the “starter husband”. The cake was better than the marriage….
