Amen on the merits of farm to table! In the fast paced world we live in it is all too often a easy excuse to open a box or package and set the timer on the mircowave and viola dinner. Reality is with a little planning familes can eat better and cheaper. My Mom used to cook many of the family meals on Sunday, freeze them and serve over the course of the following week. This was a single Mom working full time feeding her 3 kids home cooked and generally unprocessed meals throughout the workweek!
